Who produces the Family Travel Advisor Forum?

The Family Travel Advisor Forum is produced by Travel Show Marketing Group (TravelSMG), an independent event organizer who caters exclusively to the North American travel sellers market. For more details on our company, visit  www.TravelSMG.com.

Who attends the Family Travel Advisor Forum?

The Family Travel Forum will bring in a fully-vetted audience of travel  advisor professionals from across North America. Travel  advisors will represent a cross-section of consortia and non-consortia affiliates, owner/managers and front-line travel  advisors as well as traditional and independent travel sellers.  Travel seller eligibility will be assessed on an individual basis with a number of critical factors taken into consideration.

How is travel advisor eligibility determined?

Our commitment is to bring participating suppliers face-to-face with the most serious travel  advisors in the industry. Through our aggressive recruitment process, we will be capturing details pertaining to individual travel  advisor business, allowing us to identify top-producing travel  advisors as well as “rising stars” that have aspirations to grow this important segment of their business. In addition to a formal application, our travel  advisor acquisitions team does a full analysis on each advisor candidate, including a telephone interview, review of applicants social presence, verifies professional references and more.  It is our commitment to bring our supplier partners face to face with qualified travel  advisors that represent strong business opportunities.

How many travel advisors will attend?

Space is limited to 130 qualified travel  advisors, all which must apply before being hand-selected for one of our coveted positions.

Do travel advisors pay to attend?

To support our commitment in bringing you face-to-face with the highest quality travel  advisor, the Event Management team has implementing a hosted travel  advisor program for the industry’s top producers. This eliminates any out of pocket expenses for this caliber travel  advisor, and allows us to engage and attract the most qualified travel professional to attend the Forum. Additional scholarship opportunities will be extended to make participation cost-effective for travel  advisors with a proven book of business, who have strong aspirations to grow this important segment of their business.

Who exhibits at the Family Travel Advisor Forum?

The Forum will feature a diverse representation of supplier types, both categorically and geographically. Supplier company types include: All-inclusive resort chains and individual properties; hotel and resort properties (EP); boutique/independent hotel properties; destinations/tourism boards; wholesalers/packaged vacation providers; cruise lines; destination management companies; transportation providers; associations and resources for the family focused travel professional.

What is included in the exhibitor package?

The Near and Dear supplier package includes: three-night all-inclusive accommodations for one company representative at the event destination; a branded showcase table with over 35 mutual-interest one-to-one meetings; open engagement time on the Showcase floor; access to all Evening Networking functions; brand marketing opportunities and more. We offer upgraded packages as well.  Email Jennifer Fernandez at Jennifer@TravelSMG.com for additional information.

Are there additional costs?

The Family Travel Forum is the most cost-effective way to target qualified travel advisors for your company. Our host property allows you to experience all-inclusive benefits at no additional fee (food, drinks at the bar after hours, room service, taxes, etc.). Additionally, because the event is a table top format, there are no additional set-up or shipping charges. In essence, you can show up and be ready to conduct your meetings! Air travel is not included, and we will recommend a preferred airport transfer provider for exclusive event rates.

Are there additional opportunities?

We offer a full menu of sponsorship and marketing opportunities for every budget. For a complete list of opportunities or to discuss a custom program, please contact Jennifer Fernandez, Senior Vice President of Events and Content via email at Jennifer@TravelSmg.com  or telephone at (718) 979-1952.

How is the Family Travel Advisor Forum promoted?

In addition to our own databases of travel  advisors, the Forum will be promoted through preferred marketing partners, associations and consortias, trade publications and other selected organizations. The Forum will also be aggressively promoted through our travel  advisor acquisitions department enabling us to identify top participant candidates.

How can I book accommodations for the Family Travel Advisor Forum?

Accommodations are included in your package for Monday arrival and Thursday departure. We will gladly assist in booking accommodations at the host property for pre/post nights, however, additional hotel fees will apply. All pre and post reservations will be made based on availability.

What if I choose to stay off-property?

While we can provide a participation package that excludes accommodations, additional fees will apply to access lunch functions at the host property. For value and convenience, we strongly discourage participants to stay off-property.

Can I bring my spouse/guest to the Romance Travel Forum?

Only bonafide travel advisors selected to participate and registered supplier personnel are eligible to attend Family Travel Advisor Forum. Spouses and guests are not permitted to participate unless they qualify under those terms. If you plan to travel with a companion, your companion will not be permitted to attend any portion of the Forum. Please note, additional accommodation fees will apply.
